Coach U14 Girls Elite, U16 Girls Elite


Derrick Smith has been coaching youth and high school soccer in the Central Florida area for the past 4 years before coming to West Florida Flames in December of 2014. Prior to WFF in 2014 he help build Ocala Stampedes’s start up youth competitive program as well as serving as assistant coach for  Ocala Stampede’s USL-PDL men’s team. During tenure at Ocala he help guide the team to a southeast divisional title, their first ever Conference title, and National Semi-final. He also spent time directing and guiding the Ocala Stampede’s USL-U-20 program to a 3rd place finish in the Southeast division that included a win against the national finalist.

Derrick played his college soccer at Limestone College. He helped the program achieve one of the schools best finishes in history which included the programs first ever NCAA playoff run and 13th in the nation ranking which was the highest ranking in school history. He also played PDL at IMG Academy under Tom Durkin.

Derrick is a USSF licensed coach and is in the process of obtaining his C license.
