FAQ’s

How do I preregister for tryouts and what does it cost? Visit the tryout page of http://tryouts.fcflames.com  and click the link to preregister for tryouts.  The tryout is free to all players.

Do I have to attend all tryouts? Yes. The more the coaching staff gets a chance to evaluate your child’s ability, the more likely they are to accurately assess the player’s ability and assign them to the appropriate team.

Should parents attend try-outs? No, parents do not need to attend, but parents may watch the try-out sessions from outside areas of the field and not near the players and coach area. Parents should quietly observe and let the players play without any additional pressure.

How soon will I know if I make the team? Players can be invited as early at the first night of tryouts. A club representative may invite a player at any time during the tryout process or the player may receive an invitation to join the team via email. Players invited must immediately register for the team through a link that will be given to each accepted player.

What if I’m out of town and can’t attend the tryouts? You must contact the respective campus director in this case. Coaches must be able to see the player play or make other arrangements in order to be selected to a team.

What should I bring? Come prepared to train with a soccer ball, cleats, shin guards, and water.

What if it rains? In the case of inclement weather, check the http://tryouts.fcflames.com website for alternate tryout dates. You can also get email or text alerts for our field status by going to http://fcflames.com/fieldstatus
