Dear Parents

As we move into 2016, we are happy to once again offer our Developmental Academy program. For 2016, Club Trainers Bill Capobianco and Algie Lang will be leading the way and working with our best recreational players.   The program curriculum includes 30 minutes of technical training followed by 25+ minutes of small sided games.

This program is designed for those players  U6 – U14 that want to improve their technical skills. The Development Academy Program is ideal for those players that like to be challenged and are willing to work hard to take their game up to the next level.  Participants will be exposed to the basic technical skills necessary to be successful on the soccer field.  The small sided games will enhance the development of group play and basic tactical awareness.  At WFF we pride ourselves in developing a critical thinking process coupled with creative play to enhance the independent and proper decision making required by players in today’s game of soccer.

West Florida Flames remains focused on providing a variety of quality programs for all levels of players and are constantly looking for ways to provide challenging yet fun playing/training environments.  The staff is committed to educating themselves and developing the most modern training modules.  This education includes teaching the young player self-esteem coupled with dynamic skills and the creative ability to utilize these skills during match play.  The art of 1 vs 1 attacking and defending, passing and combination play and small group possession are some of the concepts focused on during the Academy.  All training is implemented with a positive approach which allows players to become confident and secure in their development and growth as young athletes.
