East Lake Campus TOPSoccer

The Outreach Program for Soccer

TOPSoccer is an athletic program for mentally and physically challenged youth, age’s 5 years and up. The program is designed to give the players the opportunity of learning and enjoying the game and having fun at the same time.

Four guys who thought it would be great to bring TOPSoccer to Brandon started our program eighteen years ago. The number of participants has grown from 40 in the initial year to 145 last season, making it the largest program in Florida. TOPSoccer is organized and run entirely by volunteers; no one is paid. Through the generosity of our sponsors, each player receives cleats, shin guards and a uniform at no cost. In addition, food and refreshments are also free at all the games as well as a season ending party with a trophy and medal for each player.

For the first time, West Florida Flames is proud to announce the inaugural season of TOPSoccer at our East Lake Campus. We are excited to be able to offer this outreach program in Pinellas County.

In 2009 our Brandon TOPSoccer Program was recognized by the Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System / Hillsborough County Public Schools with their “Excellence In Action” Award. In both 2010 & 2015 our Brandon TOPSoccer Program was awarded TOPSoccer Club of the Year by the Florida Youth Soccer Association.

The players, parents, and volunteers are grateful to our sponsors who make this program possible. As the number of players increases so does our operating budget. Any financial assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. For more information on the TOPSoccer program at our East Lake campus, you can email Victoria Tarantino at tarantinov@pcsb.org or call 727-433-3657. We are a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt program.
