West Florida Flames U-10 Gold team came on top at Spring Classic

West Florida Flames U10 Boys gold team coached by Christopher Ruiz, participated in the 2016 Adidas Spring Classic tournament and the team had an amazing performance throughout the competition. Coach Ruiz’s team took the win against West Florida Flames Brandon and FC Lutz Rangers. They tied Tampa Dynamo the first time around, still leaving both teams undefeated, lead them to an epic final battle for the championship.  Both teams went head on creating great chances until the last minute but the match ended in a tie 1-1 which lead to a breath taking penalty shootout.

The West Florida Flames U-10 Gold team came on top with a 2-1 in penalties after the last shot from Tampa Dynamo was denied by the post. The boys dominated each game with great team work, hard work, belief in themselves and Coach Ruiz’s system of play. Since the beginning of the year till now the boys have shown great progress and development technically and most important the understanding of the game through simple thought process on how to play the game in its simplest form.

Coach Ruiz is extremely happy to have worked with a group full of great students of the game that came in the season with different ways of thinking about the game but finished it with the mindset set of players that have fun, never give up, and work hard to achieve their goals as a team.
